YJ
I'm a cookie which is born out of a dough, and was being sent into an oven. My mother made me a chocolate cookie so that people would like me. I'm delicious, people liked me alot. But my destiny is very cruel. I found out that i'm born to be eaten. I'm helpless and afraid. But when i knew that i will bring people's happiness, i'm not that scared already. So i decided to sacrifice myself to make people happy. Cause i know i'm the best.

charles schultz philosophy
November 28, 2009

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read it straight through, and you'll get the point..

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
(my ans: I only know Bill Gates...)
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
(my ans: I don't even know Heisman trophy!)

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America Contest.
(my ans: The WHAT contest??)

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
(my ans: I don't know...)

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
(my ans: Not interested...)

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
(my ans: What the heck is that)

How did you do?
(my ans: Really bad)

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. They are not second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
(my ans: Ms Kwek, Mrs Hwang, Ms Huang, Mr Raymond Wong :) )

2.. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
(my ans: Wen Yie, Yen Ling, Ju Hee)

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
(my ans: There's just so many to name...)

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special..
(my ans: My P4 junior leaders, Yen Ling, Wen Yie, my family...)

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
(my ans: The Koreans - Brandon, Ju Hee, Young Hown, Jenny etc... , Wen Yie!)

Easier?
(my ans: VERY!)

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are NOT the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care...

I just want to thank the lovely people who made my year in 2009... :023: I love you guys so much, thank you for being in my life in 2009, many things happened this year! I know this post was just very random, I'm going to post a REAL dedication post on 31st December, last day of 2009!
